Below is my Learning Reflection on the laser cutter activities.
After doing the actual laser cutting that I have seen on YouTube, I can fully say that it was exciting and that it will come in handy in the future.
As technology continues to evolve, it is always handy to know multiple skills such as laser cutting and 3D printing as it will most likely be present in almost all aspects of certain jobs. Hence why I feel that this skill was meaningful.
During the competency test, I almost messed up by forgetting to the interior wording ‘DCHE’ from ‘vector cut’ to ‘vector engrave’, thankful the teacher was kind enough to ask me if I was sure what I did was correct. I didn’t expect to get the jitters during the test itself, I should’ve calmed myself down an taken it slow instead of trying to do it as fast as possible. 🧘♂️
Overall, now I am super confident in doing my next laser cutting session correctly and I am really excited for the next laser cutting practice session. And I 100% recommend anyone reading to pick up this skill. 👍
